Born and raised in Lebanon, at a mere 17 years old, Gemy
began designing clothes for her friends and family. Her vision was to create
simple yet intricate formal wear for sexy, young women with attitude! As her acumen for design
continued to flourish, in 1996, Gemy opened her first atelier in Beirut, making
her dream of becoming a globally recognized designer a reality. Only four years after starting her label, she
reached the fashion world’s center stage when she became one of the first
Lebanese designers to show at the Salon du “Prête a Porter” in Paris.
Not one to remain satisfied with the status quo, Gemy
expanded her creative innovations to include three other lines beyond her
distinctive couture label. These successful collections include: GEMY MAALOUF
(luxury haute couture), GEMY MAALOUF Bridal (wedding gowns), “GEMY le Prêt”
(a range of formal attire), and “Beside Couture by GEMY” (stylish attire at
more affordable prices). Offering a diverse range of clothing collections,
Gemy’s four lines share the common attributes of originality, glamour, and
incomparable fit with luxuriant fabrics for the fashion conscious woman.

Most recently, celebrities including AnnaLynne McCord,
